Just Checking In

I have to admit that I have been falling into a slump again. My editors are busy and so their edits on book one has been slow and allowing the lazy side of me to have excuses to not rush on book two. I have been searching far and wide for a free/inexpensive photo editing program so that I might get my new book cover designed. not having a lot of luck there.

It's funny...

As I work though my books again, 8 yrs after they were originally written, I discover little hidden treasures that I had forgotten that I had put in there. For example, I have tucked in the first book a few of my original poems and in my second book, I strategically placed a few family favorite recipes. Yes, real recipes that you too can make and enjoy.
It is a joy to be reading these books with a fresh eye. I am catching MANY mistakes in the process. So I have requested the assistance of two people that are near and dear to me to help me comb through these and fix them.  Along with the corrected punctuation and spelling has come some other tweaks to make the read smoother and more enjoyable. I can't wait to be able to upload the new and improved versions.

More depth Lost River's Carnival ~The Threat

In chapter one we learn that Heaven is a newspaper reporter for a gossip paper. We also learn that she is supposed to write an article on a very handsome bachelor Matt. Upon their meeting Heaven is quite embarrassed as she is found leaning over a trash can. Not the meeting she had imagined.
Matt becomes her dog sitter and falls head over heals for Heaven, what he doesn't realize is that she too has fallen for him, hard.

Skip ahead, Heaven's boss received a note that is a huge threat to her. Heaven tries to remain calm and continue her work as tho nothing happened, but how could she? Who would send her such horrible note? No one knew she was writing for the paper, or so she thought.
